Animal rescue, and pit bull rescue in particular, is a passionate subject, with passionate supporters and detractors. You may not agree with everything listed below, and that is to be expected. The Tru Prattville is just a hotel with small rooms.We want all of our donors and volunteers to know where we stand on important issues in the rescue community. What I love about the concept of a better Tru hotel is its minimalist concept with few luxurious touches and a friendly welcome. The hallways did not get noisy until 6 am. Fortunately, the night time was pretty quiet. There are several restaraunts and basic stores within walking or short driving distance, and this area is a nice one, but it did not particularly feel so at this hotel. The hotel is next door to a Mellowmushroom's back door and I did not feel particularly safe while being watched unloading my luggage by a strange person sitting on the steps of that door. The bed also did not seem as comfortable as my previous Tru beds, either. The beds look like I made them-and this is not a compliment, I am not very good about making beds. The floor in the room was a bit sticky, so I had to wipe it upon arrival. Also, all 5 dispensers were not attached to their base. It was dissapointing to see the shower gel replaced by subpar 'Earthtempo' product at this hotel. One of my favourite things about the Tru brand is the 'Not soap radio' bath products. I still do not know if the hotel did serve any kind of breakfast bag. No 'thanks for being Diamond' or info about amenities, breakfast etc. While I appreciated the front desk person wearing a mask, the check in proccess was neither cheerful nor informative. The Tru Prattville did not make that good of an impression. I loved the first 2 (Savannah and Dallas) so much that I thought it is my new favourite brand.
